Neiman Marcus Sales Comparison Rises 4.5 Percent PDF Print E-mail

Neiman Marcus Inc. reported Thursday that sales at its stores open at least a year rose 4.5 percent in December, according to Associated Press. The company cited customers increasing their acquisitions of luxury items, such as designer handbags, jewelry, shoes and men's and women's clothing. The retailer said its strongest regions were the Southeast and New York City. Total revenue grew 6 percent to $556 million from $525 million. For Neiman Marcus Direct, which includes online and print catalogs for Horchow, Bergdorf Goodman and its namesake brand, comparable sales rose 3.2 percent with strong sales in its women's apparel, shoes, jewelry and handbag categories. T-Mobile to Stop Selling Home Landline Service PDF Print E-mail

T-Mobile USA announced Thursday that the company will stop selling its home Internet phone service after two years, according to Associated Press. The cellular carrier said Thursday that it will discontinue new sales of the AtHome calling service because of changing customer needs. Walgreens (NYSE: WAG) Signs 10-Year, Accounting Services Contract with Genpact PDF Print E-mail

Walgreen Co. (NYSE: WAG) announced Wednesday that the drugstore operator signed a 10-year contract with Genpact (NYSE: G) for accounting services, according to Associated Press. In addition, approximately 500 employees at the facility will become Genpact employees within the next four months, while the remainder will remain with Walgreens.
